BioTechUSA group received Best Managed certification
The Best Managed Companies program, Deloitte Private’s global business mentor program, established for the support and recognition of local, privately owned companies, has been conducted in Hungary for the second time now. As part of the 2023 program, an independent professional jury awarded the coveted Best Managed award to 16 Hungarian private companies, including the BioTechUSA group.
The program was launched in Canada, in 1993, where it is still running successfully, becoming one of the country’s leading business mentor programs. Currently, the program is present in 48 countries, including Hungary. In the program, an independent professional jury selects the companies that will receive the Best Managed certification. This year it was awarded to 16 Hungarian private companies, including the BioTechUSA group.
The decision was based on the comprehensive application dossier, which was compiled during the mentoring program, based on the methodology of the international Best Managed Companies program. The participating firms had to present in detail their company’s strategy, features and innovations, corporate culture and internal commitments – including HR processes, internal communication, employee commitment and retention, corporate social responsibility and social value creation, as well as management and finances. They had the chance to gain insight into global leadership practices and were supported by highly qualified mentors during each phase of the program. Amongst other things, the companies were reaffirmed in their best practices while identifying potential areas for development.
Best Managed companies have strong business models and develop strategies that are in line with the company’s inner strengths and external opportunities. They acquire valuable skills and resources, are extremely implementation-focused, put special emphasis on productivity and innovation, and employ the right people to implement their specific business model. They have an outstanding corporate culture, are committed to their goals and also work on values such as leadership skills or guidance. Their governance model is characterized by the way it supports business systems and improves operational performance. They have a well-defined governance structure, produce stable balance sheets, apply the degree of financial discipline that is necessary for increasing their revenue, improve their operating margins and boost the efficiency of their assets.
The members of the jury were Gergely Baksay, Executive Director of Economic Analysis and Competitiveness at the Hungarian National Bank, Dr. Sára Csillag, Deputy Rector for Academic Development at the Budapest University of Economics, Ferenc Rolek, Vice President of MGYOSZ (Confederation of Hungarian Employers and Industrialists), Richárd Végh, CEO of Budapest Stock Exchange Zrt. and László Wolf, Member of the Board of Directors and Deputy CEO at OTP Bank. The list of awarded companies of the 2023 program was announced on 29 September as part of the gala event held at the Museum of Fine Arts. The recognition was presented to the co-owners of our group, CEO Bálint Lévai, Sales Director Balázs Lévai, Founder-Director Ferenc Lévai; and COO, Managing Director Diána Markovics, accompanied by a few members of our management team.
We are thrilled that the prestigious Best Managed certification award was now added to the list of our awards (Office of the Year, Exemplary Workplace Award, Lovable Workplaces Award, Dog-Friendly Office, Franchise Network of the Year, Superbrands Award, Marie Claire Beauty Awards). As the name indicates, this award was earned by our company’s management, who have been working at the company for decades with an exceptionally low, near-zero level of fluctuation. For the BioTechUSA group, The Feeling of Success is much more than a catchphrase: it also represents . responsibility towards the mainstream society, our consumers and our colleagues. The keywords of our company culture are familiarity, human-centeredness, loyalty, honesty, directness and openness. We employ kind, like-minded people who are hard-working, hold themselves to high professional standards, and who strive for change and development. Innovation starts already at the job interview. Our ethos is independent of the market situation, as we always stand up for our values and operate our company accordingly. We are grateful to the jury for the award, and offer our congratulations for all the winners!
I am very proud of our team and I thank the entire management of the BioTechUSA group, as well as the approximately 1,800 employees working at our central offices, factories and logistics centers, for their huge amount of work and energy, as they are the ones we are most indebted to for our success and development!”
